It’s hard to believe we are into fall already.  I know its been some time since I’ve posted, but that’s how busy we have been.  The economy has had no effect on the crazy golfers of Columbus, Ohio. 

I’m going to take a moment and highlight some of our amazing 2009 projects.

This project is located in Upper Arlington, Ohio.  It is made from the finest 100% nylon synthetic putting turf.  This is truly a custom putting green.  Check out the before and after.  It’s truly amazing what we can do.

Our synthetic turf is perfect for the professional golfer and for  entertaining your friends and family.  We try to specialize not only in designing your putting green, but designing how you use your synthetic putting green relating to the rest of your yard.  For example, check out how we raised this synthetic putting green in Powell, Ohio to make the patio look larger.  The putting green also acts as the transition from the patio to the garage.

My friend Dave Christensen will guarantee his lessons with you.  The classes meet once a week for 8 weeks. Each class lasts about an hour. After the 8 weeks, free follow-up sessions are available according to your needs.   The cost of the school is $169.00, which covers everything including range balls. There are no other fees. My friend Bob recently retired.   This has given him a lot more time to focus on his passion, Golf.  Bob has a lovely wife, Margaret, who also recently retired (but since then has gone back to work).  Margaret really likes to cook and makes delicious meals for Bob and their wonderful family.  Since Margaret likes to cook and Bob likes to play golf, and they are recently retired, they decided to add on to their lovely Powell, Ohio home.  They expanded their kitchen and practically trippled its size.  Below the kitchen they decided to build a complete Golf Practice Facilitiy.  The golf facility has 12 foot ceilings which allow Bob, and all his friends, to have a full swing.  In Bob’s golf room he has a custom putting green, golf simulator, several teaching tools, and a wall mural.  The wall mural isn’t typical of what you would normally see.  Most of my clients like their favorite course painted on the walls.  Not Bob.  It’s challenging mentally for him to golf in front of a group.  So he put a group of people on the walls.  He is practicing to play on the PGA tour 2011.

When I meet the guys at a jobsite I usually have a list of things for them to remember….put the yard sign out…. put on your sunscreen…don’t forget to load the toy (a new Torro machine).  But one thing is for certain.  I NEVER have to remind them to respect your property.  Many times you have contractors coming to your home and you know exactly where they’ve been.  Well not us.  70% of my business is through referrals and I’d like to add you to that number.  See the picture below.  My client didn’t want us using her driveway so we layered plywood on the grass to “respect her property.”  Hopefully we can do the same for you someday.  Please visit www.athomegreens.com for more information or to schedule a free quote.
